We started Bold Living to give people a safe place where questions and interaction are encouraged as we get to know Jesus, not just about Him. The conception of this ministry happened in 2019 during one of the hardest times of our lives. What kept us anchored in truth and resilient in hope was knowing Jesus - personally - and that knowing came from years of intentional discipleship.
Biblical discipleship is more than head knowledge; it is based off real understanding and personal experience. Like a good math teacher doesn’t want you to only memorize 2 + 2 = 4 but understand why it does, we want you to know Jesus and understand why it matters.
To be biblically discipled is to be personally walked through the Bible and introduced to Jesus and then encouraged all along the way as you begin to build a relationship with Him. It teaches you to become a BOLD (Beautifully Original Lord Directed) believer who can confidently give an answer for the hope within you.
We see so many people inside and outside the church confused and unsure about the Bible and Jesus on a personal level. They approach the Bible as a book to be tackled, not a person to be known. We aim to change that. A relationship with Jesus is life changing and that commitment needs life long accountability rooted in personal knowledge and experience..
A community where trust has been built can be part of that accountability and more. As iron sharpens iron so we hope all who are part of this community (including ourselves) will be consistently challenged, nourished and refreshed. It makes B.O.L.D. (Beautifully Original Lord Directed) Living a habit and cultivates believers full of grace and truth.
We truly believe that when a person is discipled in understanding who Jesus is - as the Bible demonstrates Him to be - it radically changes the way they approach life and relationships. Like the atlas in the body being nudged back into place causes the rest of the spine to align, knowing Jesus helps a person prioritize and live their life as God intended. We know because we continue to be blessed and transformed every time we pass forward all God has taught us.
Whether you are here because you are searching to understand who Jesus is and why the Bible matters, are new to Christianity and looking to build a solid foundation or been a Christian a long time, discipleship benefits all who come with a heart to learn and a desire to grow.
You have much to gain and so much waiting for you, what are you waiting for?
