Conversation Corner: Episode 8 - Will God Keep His Promises? Jeanne Shares Personal Insights! [16:09]
It’s Tac - O - Bout it Tuesday!! Welcome to another Conversation Corner video! Today Jeanne shares three promises from God’s Word that He personally answered them in her life. The promises and verses mentioned in the video are below!
Promise #1 A Desire to Hunger and Thirst for His Word
VERSES:
John 6:35 “And Jesus said unto the, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst”
Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
Hebrews 8:11 “And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest
John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
Promise #2 - Teach Mercy
VERSES:
Hosea 6:6 “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings”
Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy”
Luke 6:36 “Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful”
Hebrews 8:12 “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more”
Hebrew 2:17 “Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people”
Promise #3 Give Wisdom
VERSE:
James 1:5-7 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”

Conversation Corner: Episode 7 - How Do I Know the Promises of God are For Me Individually? [21:02]
How do I know the promises in the Bible are actually for me individually?
QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:
What makes you feel/believe a promise isn't for you? What causes you to question that?
What would be some ways you could know a promise IS for you?
TAKEAWAYS:
Two kinds of promises: Immutable & If/then
God confirms His promises
God never promises what He can't or won't keep. Hebrew 10:16,23
“Hearing God's voice, sensing the quickening of the Holy Ghost and learning how to lean in and embrace the promises God speaks to you only happens and only grows with a consistent building of relationship with God through the word.”
~Erin Patton
BIBLE VERSES:
Jesus was promised to Adam and Eve – God kept that promise by fulfilling over 300 prophecies that were a mathematical impossibility.
2 Corinthians 1:20-22 For all the promises of God in him (Jesus) are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
Romans 3:4a God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;
2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
For believers some promises are conditional as in, do this and this will happen. Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Philippians 4:6-7 and 9 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus...Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Some are for unbelievers
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

BIBLE VERSES WE USED IN THE VIDEO:
HEBREWS 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
2 PETER 1:1-3
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
DEUTERONOMY 8:3
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
JOHN 8:31-32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
BIBLE VERSES WE MENTIONED ON SCRIPTURE BEING INSPIRED OF GOD
2 PETER 1:19-21
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 TIMOTHY 3:16a
All scripture is given by inspiration of God,...

Bible Verses -
Galatians 5:22-26 KJV
Philippians 4:8 KJV
Questions -
Your Perspective:
How can the value you put on yourself affect the kind of man you pick?
Who defines you?
What gives them the right to define you?
What things do you value in someone?
What makes those things valuable to you?
Where does your value standard originate?
God’s Perspective -
How does God define Godly?
What things does God say to look for when trying to find out if someone is a believer?
What does God say a relationship should look like?
Conversation Corner: Episode 2 - How Does God See People? [21:56]
We are God’s creation
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Acts 17:26-28 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
God’s assessment of all people -
Ro 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
God’s fulfillment of His promise of a Savior for all of mankind -
John 3:14-21 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
What God expects of believers -
Mark 12:30-31 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
1Thesselonians 5:14-15 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1Pe 3:9-18 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit
Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Proverbs 20:22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
Ro 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Ro 12:17-21 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Eph 5:1-10 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Eph 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Galatians 1:3-5 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
QUESTIONS TO PONDER:
How does God see all people?
What is God’s perspective on racism?
How does God deal with the choices of humans?
How are believers to respond to what God says?
What are some tangible ways we can live out those responses?
How can we adopt God’s perspective and heart whether it is for the first time or for others to simply live it out even more clearly?
How can believers bring God’s healing and love to all people?
What do believers need to do to bring about lasting change in their communities, hearts and homes?
************************************
We hope everyone who read this got a picture of how God conducts His relationships and expects believers to do the same and we pray we can be a picture of His love to all our brothers and sisters in this time.
