Time For the New Year of 2026

Recently I was pondering about how much I wished I could turn back time…but as I did I realized that no matter where I turned it back to, a part of who I am and the amazing way God has used time and circumstances to change me for the better and draw me into a closer relationship with him, would be gone!

Over the years of my time, whether my choices were good or bad, they have taught me so much. Changing them is not an option, they are in the past, but how I make my decisions at this moment, during this day, will be a reflection on how much attention I paid to the lessons. 😊

-TIME-

Time cannot be saved; it must be spent! The question is, how will I spend the gift of time, however long or short, God has given me?

Time cannot be turned back (no re-dos) but I can learn from it and not use my time concerned about my choices in times past but hold the good close and reflect on my poor choices only long enough to gain wisdom on how to make better ones.  One last thought about this subject – The choices of others, good or bad, that have affected me or those I love are a stark reminder to me of the impact of my choices. Oh, I must be so much more careful and thoughtful!

Time waits for no one – second by second it marches on…so I must pay attention to what time it is, To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven Eccl. 3:1 (see all). I need to understand the times so I can best know how to spend mine, this moment, this day, and this year! (1 Chron 12:32)

Time is unpredictable. It can bring me the unexpected, and things I cannot control. However, Jesus says when I abide in his love and his words abide in me, his joy will remain in me and my joy will be full (John 15:7, 11)! He is my Psalm 23 Shepherd and my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust (Psalm 18:2a)!

Time is in God’s hands  What is unpredictable and unexpected by me has already been sifted through his hands. His timing is perfect and I can rest, assured that his mercy and goodwill toward me will never change!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

1 Chronicles 12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

John 15:7, 11 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
