Holes Filled With Glory

Today I was just thinking about how amazing it is that God would want to grace His glory upon my life or any of our lives. Especially considering that I have so many holes; so many flaws and cracks. It is like having a king or supremely wealthy person personally come and knock on my door and ask if I would be the face of their kingdom/company. Well...it's not really a comparison but it gives about 1/1000 of an idea of how in awe I am that God chooses to magnify Himself through broken humanity like He does.

But you know what?

So what if I am broken?

The glue holding the fragile fragments of my life together is God's grace and that grace has saturated between every crevice and crack of my life giving strength and redemption where there once was none and that brings him glory!

Where there are holes from the missing pieces, it just allows the light of his glory to shine out even more because the very flaws, holes, and cracks I ascertain through life allow the glory of Christ to shine brighter and brighter.

Now just to be clear, I am not going to wantonly throw pieces of my life away or smash myself on purpose against a wall but my perspective has been changed. When I do trip and lose a piece of myself or stumble and form a crack from the fall, I have full assurance that God is going to be right there to patch me up and use that new found hole or crevice in my life to shine his glory from a new angle.

Since I have holes and am bound to get more holy as I go (get it? ;) ) I am definitely going to let those holes be holes filled with glory because if light is going to shine through them anyway, then I want that light to be the glorious light of Christ!
